Speaker Biography

We have an excellent guest speaker this month in Randal Kirkpatrick! Randal has 40 plus years professional work experience in sales and sales management. He started his career after college working as a customer service representative for Thomas Industries in Sparta, Tenn. Quickly realizing that he didn't want to be in a position where he could only pass information and have no direct impact on the outcome, he moved to a small company that sold curtain rods, window shades and other consumer goods to the retail industry. This company is now known as Newell Rubbermaid.

After 21 years, having moved from a territory manager to a regional manager’s position, he experienced the most devastating day of his work life. He was released just before Thanksgiving. Randal then moved into national account management positions selling to Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, Chase Pitkin, other major retail chains and hardware distributors, managing up to $50,000,000 in sales volume. In 2001, he was released and struggled to land another position selling to and managing large product assortments in the retail world.

After three years of not finding a position, he learned a hard lesson, to “MOVE ON” from what you were to what you want to be.

He spent five years working for Think Resources, a recruiting firm that places engineers as well as other technical personnel.

In 2009, he and two partners formed Pinnacle Placement Group.

If you or someone you know is currently in job transition, we would like to offer our prayer support. Simply visit the Prayer Chapel, room 335 of the Trinity Building, place a resume in the Job Resume Prayer Ministry notebook and we will be in prayer.
