National Alliance on Mental Illness
|
Founded in 1979, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) works to achieve equitable services and treatment for more than 15 million Americans and their families living with mental illnesses. This organization provides education and support to combat stigma, to support increased funding for research, and to advocate for adequate health insurance, housing, rehabilitation and jobs for people with mental illness.
NAMI Northside holds small group gatherings at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church for sharing experiences, exchanging information, and support. These meetings are free.
