The United Methodist Women is a mission organization whose members give of themselves through prayer, action and financial gifts in response to God's call. Each year United Methodist Women raise money for local organizations; advocate for the needs of women, children and youth; equip members for service; and join together regularly in fellowship.

The United Methodist Women of Alpharetta First United Methodist Church are a community of women whose purpose is to know GOD; to develop creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand missions through participation in the ministries of this church. 

 

There are more than 200 participants in the Alpharetta First United Methodist women’s circles. Each group meets monthly. We invite you to participate in a supportive community through worship, sharing, praying, studying, working, and serving. Here are a list of the circles for you to choose from.

Meets in the Bagley House at 10:00 am on the first Wednesday of each month. Ladies are welcome and most women are retired. Contact: Dot Weingart, 770-753-0613

 

Morning Glories meet the first Friday of each month at 10:00 am in the Bagley House. The ages range from late 30's to 50's with middle school through college-aged children. We are involved in local missions and Santa's Secret Shop. We study a variety of topics during our meetings and frequently have guest speakers and teachers. Morning Glories is a warm and caring fellowship of women. Everyone is welcome! Meets in the Bagley House at 9:30 am on the 3rd Thursday of each month. We sponsor a spring and fall church-wide clothing drive for Dress for Success, an organization that enables women to move from welfare to the workforce. We also take a hot home-cooked meal to the Atlanta Women’s Kitchen at Grace Methodist bi-monthly, for homeless women and children. We gather and assemble supplies for health and hygiene kits for some of our mission teams. We welcome members of all ages. Contact: Barbara Peterson, 770-772-4379
