Here’s what you
can expect from us

Our maintenance staff has increased the frequency and intensity of cleaning measures throughout the church building. The Sanctuary, restrooms, elevators and high-traffic areas will all be thoroughly sanitized before and after each worship service.

Stations with hand sanitizers will be provided throughout the building.

While masks are required for everyone attending a service, you will see our clergy and others leading worship at times take their masks off to lead. We are making every attempt to keep everyone who leads worship at a significant distance away from the congregation.

In order to maintain appropriate social distance during worship services, we’re limiting capacity in the Sanctuary. To ensure you have a seat, make reservations. Print your emailed receipt or have it open on your phone when you come to worship, so we can scan your QR registration code.

Children’s Worship is offered to preschool and elementary children on Sunday mornings at 9 and 11 a.m. Learn more about Children’s Worship and make reservations for your child.

Bibles, hymnals, pens, brochures and all other informational items have been removed from the pews. On Sundays when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, Communion elements are pre-packaged in individual portions and distributed to each worshiper upon entering the sanctuary. Our Christmas candle-lighting ceremonies will be done with glowsticks, so worshipers can maintain social distance from others.

In order to maintain a “touchless environment,” we are not passing the offering plates during worship. If you’d like to make a financial gift to the church, please:

  • Text “AFUMC” to 77977
  • Use the Alpharetta Methodist app
  • Visit
  • Drop a check or cash in one of the giving boxes (located at the entrance to the Sanctuary and along the exit route after worship service.)

To keep you safe, we’ve created one-way traffic routes into and out of the building. Follow the BLUE signs when you enter the building. Follow the GREEN signs to exit. If you have questions when you arrive for worship, our parking attendants, greeters and ushers will be happy to help.

What Do We
Expect from You?

All of our staff and volunteers will be wearing masks. We’re also requiring masks of everyone who attends an indoor worship service. When you arrive at the church, please wear a mask as you exit your vehicle and make your way to the entrance, where we’ll take your temperature. Once inside the building, please continue to wear your mask during the service and as as you travel to and from the Sanctuary.

Please follow social distancing requirements throughout the building and on the church grounds. Our ushers will escort you to your seats, which will be properly distanced (six feet) from worshipers on either side. Every other pew will be off limits to allow for proper distancing from front to back.

If you have any of the following symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have had contact with a COVID-positive person within the last 14 days, do not enter the church building. If you’re not feeling well, we ask that you stay home, take care of yourself and worship with us online.
