While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
Matthew 26:26-28
On Maundy Thursday, Christians commemorate the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples before his crucifixion, when he washed the disciples’ feet and instituted the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. This service will include music by the Chancel Choir and the sharing of Communion.
A nursery will be available during this service for children 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten age 4. Make nursery reservations by 6 p.m. April 6.
